Luxury Nail Extensions
Extensions that add length without the heavy, foreign feel your natural nails complain about after a week. We build from the natural nail up using structured hard gel or a soft-gel over a fibreglass wrap, so the result bends with you rather than sitting on top of you.
Hard gel, soft gel or fibreglass, and why it matters
Three ways to add length, and the right answer depends entirely on your natural nail and your week, not on a trend.
Apex placement is the whole game. If the thickest point of the extension sits too far forward, the free edge tips and pops off within ten days. If it sits too far back, the nail grows out heavy and gets caught on everything. We build the apex by eye against the natural curvature, test the flex with a thumbnail, and only then move to shaping. For clients with thin or damaged natural nails, a fibreglass wrap under a soft-gel overlay spreads forces out across the surface better than hard gel can, though it does mean a slightly shorter length cap.
- Apex pressure-tested by hand before shaping starts
- Fibreglass wrap option for thin or recovering natural nails
- Custom length and shape built at your first appointment, not ordered in
- Full refill offered at weeks three, five and eight depending on growth
Extensions built by someone who has made them for a decade
Our extension specialist trained in Seoul and worked in Melbourne before moving to Sydney in 2016. She has built roughly eight thousand sets, which sounds like a marketing number until you realise it means she can tell by touch whether a natural nail will hold a long extension or crack under it in a fortnight.
- Ten years of hard-gel and fibreglass work, seven of them in Sydney
- Trained in Seoul, filed in Melbourne, working in the CBD since 2016
- Will tell you if your natural nail should not carry extensions, and why

Extensions take longer than a gel manicure because the structure has to be built and tested, not painted on.
Natural-nail assessment
We look at nail thickness, the curve of the free edge, and how much length you actually use in a normal day, then agree a build.
Consultation and sketch
Shape, length and colour are settled before any file touches a nail, with a quick sketch on paper so you can see the plan.
Prep and prep only
Cuticle work, light buffing and a dehydrating wipe. No aggressive drilling here, since the natural nail surface stays intact.
Form fitting
Reusable forms are fitted under each nail and checked for leaks so product does not flood the cuticle line.
Building the structure
Hard gel or fibreglass is laid in thin layers, the apex sculpted by eye, and each nail cured before the next is started.
Shape, refine, seal
The finished extension is filed to shape, buffed smooth, tested for flex, and sealed with a top coat.

What clients ask before a first set
Read these before you book. If something is still unclear, the studio phone is the fastest way to an answer.
Not if they are built and removed properly. The damage people report usually comes from a poorly fitted apex, from drilling the natural nail down at removal, or from picking a set off at home. Do none of those and your natural nail underneath will be the same as it was.
It depends on the natural nail. A healthy, thick nail plate can support twelve millimetres past the fingertip. A thin one that has been drilled in the past might only take five before the extension starts to tip. We will tell you the honest limit at the assessment.
Hard gel is a non-porous structure that stays on the nail and is filed down at refill time. Soft gel is more flexible and comes off in acetone. Hard gel gives a stronger structure, while soft gel gives a slightly more natural feel and easier removal.
Around three weeks for a short soft-gel set, five weeks for a medium hard-gel set, and eight weeks for a long fibreglass build. Longer sets grow out more slowly in appearance because there is more length to lose before the natural nail shows.
Yes at short and medium lengths. Long sets do change the angle of your fingers on the keys, and you may notice a small adjustment for the first few days. If you type all day, tell us at consultation and we will keep the length sensible.
