Terms & Conditions

Frenumi keeps this page short on purpose, because a document nobody reads protects nobody. Everything below applies to the George Street studio in Sydney and to the booking form on this website, and it is written in plain language so you can see exactly what we hold and why.

Questions about this page

Booking and deposits

Frenumi takes bookings by phone, by email and through the form on this site. A booking is confirmed once we reply in writing with a time and you have it in your inbox. Nothing is held on a verbal maybe.

For extension sets and any appointment running longer than two hours we ask for a $50 deposit, which comes off the final bill. The deposit is what secures the slot, because those appointments block a chair for most of an afternoon.

Rescheduling, lateness and cancellations

  • Give us twenty-four hours notice and you can move or cancel at no charge.
  • Inside twenty-four hours we keep half the appointment fee. For extension sets the deposit is not returned.
  • Arriving more than fifteen minutes late usually means a shortened service, since the next client is already waiting. We will tell you what still fits.
  • No-shows are charged in full and future bookings move to prepayment only.

If we have to cancel, which is rare and usually comes down to illness, you get the deposit back in full and first pick of the next available slots. We will not leave you without a rebooking option.

Your nails, your side of it

Tell us at the consultation if you have reacted badly to gel, acrylic, acetone or any primer before, and tell us if a nail is sore, split or lifting. We can work around most of it, but not if we find out halfway through the colour coats.

Extensions and gel need care at home. Picking, opening cans with your nails, and peeling a set off rather than booking a removal will damage the natural nail underneath, and that damage is not something we can undo for you. Removal booked with us is $30 and takes about twenty-five minutes.

Prices, vouchers and payment

Prices shown on this site are the current studio rates in Australian dollars and include GST. We accept card and cash. A quote given at consultation can change if you ask for extra length, art or a different material once work has started, and we will give you the new figure before we carry on.

Gift vouchers are valid for twelve months from purchase, can be used against any service, and are not refundable for cash. If the voucher covers more than the service, the difference stays as credit. If it covers less, you pay the gap.

Liability

We carry public liability insurance and every technician works to a written infection-control routine. If something goes wrong because of our work, we will fix it at no cost and, where the fix is not possible, refund the service.

Beyond that, our responsibility is limited to the amount you paid for the appointment in question. Nothing in these terms removes or narrows any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, and nothing here asks you to accept a risk you did not agree to at booking.

Changes to these terms

We review these terms once a year and update the page when something changes. The version live on this page applies to bookings made after it goes up. Bookings already in the diary keep the terms that applied when you made them. Last reviewed in March 2025.

Need a hand?

If any part of this page is unclear, ring the studio and ask for the manager. We would rather explain it on the phone than have you guess.

Ready when you are
